Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does the testing consist of?
Our evaluations typically include a combination of questionnaires about your academic, health, and background related to your suspected disability. Next our psychologist will conduct (via Zoom) your Clinical Interview via zoom (30 minutes), 30 – 90 minutes of cognitive and/or academic testing (if needed), and email you 2-3 self-rating scales in the areas of suspected disability (ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, etc.). These tests and questionnaires provide the necessary current documentation for your accommodations requests.

Is the evaluation process stressful?
Not at all. Our process is designed to be friendly, very supportive, and low-pressure. All of it can be conducted virtually from the comfort of your home. Our lead licensed educational psychologist, Suzanne Swezea M.S., LEP, has been evaluating and counseling students with disabilities ages 4-18+ for over 19 years. If, during your free intake call, she does not feel that you would be likely to qualify for testing accommodations, she will support you with her recommendations, not pressure to get an evaluation. She’s here to support you, not pressure you or make you feel even more stressed about your exam.

Once your testing and questionnaires are completed, Suzanne will use the information that you provided to write a comprehensive evaluation report and complete your accommodations application in typically 1-5 days.

Is getting accommodations really worth it?
Absolutely. While we can’t guarantee specific outcomes, having accommodations can make a real difference. For students who qualify, the right support can help you perform at your true potential — leading to higher test scores, better chances of getting into your preferred schools, and even increasing your eligibility for scholarships, sometimes by thousands of dollars.

Getting the accommodations you need isn’t just about making the test easier — it’s about giving yourself the opportunity to succeed on a level playing field to your non-disabled peers.

Does Test-Anxiety qualify students for Testing Accommodations on the LSAT or other similar exams?

Yes! Many of the students that we evaluate typically qualify for accommodations due to test anxiety. In fact, so many of our students come to us for testing related to test anxiety, that we became inspired to create a course, Test Anxiety Tactics, to support them in addition to helping them acquire their testing accommodations.

Can previous evaluations be used for accommodations requests?
In some cases, previous medical or psychological evaluations may be valid if they were conducted within the last few years. However, testing boards often require updated evaluations (typically 5 or less years) that include objective and direct cognitive and academic testing, particularly for accommodations on exams like the LSAT, GRE, MCAT, and California BAR Exam. We can review any prior reports to determine if they meet current requirements, free of charge.

What happens if accommodations are denied?
If your request for accommodations is denied, we will continue to assist you with gathering additional documentation to submit an appeal for up to 2 appeals. This may include administering additional tests and completing any needed paperwork. Our goal is to support you throughout the entire process to ensure you have the best chance of approval, even if it takes an appeal after your testing is completed.

2026 LSAT administration dates

All dates are drawn from LSAC’s official schedule (lsac.org):

LSAT AdministrationPrimary Test DatesRegistration & Accommodations Request DeadlineLSAT Writing Opens
January 2026Jan 7–10, 2026Nov 28, 2025Dec 30, 2025
February 2026Feb 6–7, 2026Dec 23, 2025Jan 29, 2026
April 2026Apr 9–11, 2026Feb 26, 2026Apr 1, 2026
June 2026Jun 3–6, 2026Apr 21, 2026May 26, 2026
August 2026Aug 5–8, 2026TBD (typically ~6 weeks prior)TBD

Why these deadlines matter:

  • Registration Deadline = the date by which you must register for the LSAT and submit your testing accommodations request, including all documentation.
  • If your accommodations request or application is received after the deadline, LSAC may not approve them in time for your test.
  • LSAT Writing section availability opens a few weeks before the exam and must be completed before score release.

Tips for planning:

  • Give yourself at least 3-6 weeks before your application date to get evaluated for accommodations. Evaluations with SoCal Educational Evaluations take between 2-5 days.
  • Apply to LSAC early to get your LSAC number, which is required on your Qualified Professional Form.
  • Don’t wait until the last day—send in your application the day that your receive your signed Qualified Professional form. Waiting until the due-date could result in insufficient review time, and postponement of your LSAT if you need to appeal for any reason.

Don’t Wait! Get the Accommodations that you need for the LSAT… ASAP!
